i am so happy to see this picture and to think of you enjoying this food! can bj eat any of it now? how are the tomatoes? i was thinking about them today while harvesting other tomatoes. sad not to be harvesting the sonoma ones after all that careful choosing, transplanting, trellising and pruning. i was in love with those tomatoes. i hope everyone in sonoma is eating lots of them! --becky

oh becky the gardens are bountiful, even without being watered. i went a little while without watering and was amazed at how well they were doing so i've stopped watering all together. whoa! it's almost as if nothing's changed. they keep producing much more food than we can eat. i am eating the amaranth, chard, eggplant, squash, and zukes. oh yeah, and some sunflower seeds, too. beth harvested some ripe tomatoes of each plant, scooped out the insides, and put them in jars with water. today i took off the mold and chunks on the top and am drying the seeds that sunk to the bottom. i can separate out some of each variety and share them with you if you want! beth also gathered eggplant, black sunflower, bean, chard, and broccolli seeds. it was something on my list of things to do that i kept waiting for a long asher nap to get to. but now it's done. hooray! thanks beth.
